clocks do tell time. The trickiest part of making and EggTymer
is making it so that you can remove the clock to set it for
Daylight Savings Time or to change a battery. It would be easy
to glue the clock in, but then it would be telling the wrong
time for half of each year. The solution is to carve the opening
so exactly that the clock just fits with a tiny, tiny amount
of pressure. Too loose and it would fall out; too tight and
the shell would crack when you push it in. It's a very delicate
balance, but it works. |
